The Southern League SL MVP has been picked for 2015 and the honor goes to the talented Mississippi Braves right fielder Adam Hodder.
This season he compiled a .325 batting average with 152 hits, 30 doubles, 6 triples and 22 home runs, along with 89 RBIs and 104 runs scored.

One of the league's most exciting young players, Aeron O'Slattery of the Mississippi Braves earned himself Southern League Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games.
For the week the 24-year-old third baseman had a lofty .520 average (13-25), collecting 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 8 runs scored.
To date this season O'Slattery is hitting .323 with 2 home runs.

 | Thursday, September 3rd, 2015: Gonzáles Holds Chattanooga Scoreless
In an impressive mound performance, Alberto Gonzáles of the Mississippi Braves checked the Chattanooga Lookouts on a 6-hitter and held them scoreless.
"He was getting ahead of us and keeping the ball off the plate," said the Chattanooga manager. "Gonzáles kept us confused the whole game."
The Mississippi hurler rang up 7 strikeouts and issued 2 walks in his 1-0 shutout victory.
This season Gonzáles has worked 188.2 innings with 177 strikeouts en route to a 12-13 record and a 4.05 ERA.
