Saturday, October 3rd, 2015: Harris Wins Southern League Pitching Crown
This year the top votegetter for the 2015 SL Pitcher of the Year was Brendan Harris of the Tennessee Smokies, who finished with an outstanding 17-5 mark and an impressive 2.24 ERA.

In his award-winning season, the 23-year-old Smokies star hurled 233 innings, chalking up 222 strikeouts and 40 walks, and limited hitters to a .224 batting average.
Sunday, September 6th, 2015: Big Day for Bernier: Swats 5 Hits
It was a sensational day at the plate for William Bernier as he led the charge to a 14-4 win over the Biscuits.

The Tennessee second baseman was pure misery for the Montgomery pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.

The manager for the Biscuits told BNN reporters after the game, "Bernier put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

W. Bernier hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.

Bernier is batting .293 in 2015 with 8 home runs, 74 RBIs and 76 runs scored. He has 153 hits in 522 at-bats.
Friday, August 21st, 2015: 5-6 Day for Moore
Tennessee defeated Huntsville today at Smokies Park. The highlight of the game was center fielder Russ Moore. His hitting heroics included a 5-6 day with the bat and paved the way for a Smokies 7-6 triumph over the Stars.

R. Moore singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 7th, tripled in the 9th and tripled in the 10th.

In 2015 Moore is batting .281 with 2 home runs.
