Saturday, September 12th, 2015: Frisco Takes Title
The Frisco Rough Riders concluded the season in grand fashion -- they won the Texas League Round 1. They nailed it down at Dr. Pepper Ballpark by whipping the Springfield Cardinals 10-2 to win it all. They took the series 3-1.

Their motto for the season was "Win or Die Trying."

"They never let up and they never stopped trying the whole season," the Rough Riders manager proudly told reporters. "They hustled and fought the whole season and it continued in the playoffs. They are a very special bunch of guys."

To get their 1st league crown, the Rough Riders finished the regular season in the South Division with a 77-63 record, ending up in first place in the division standings.
Saturday, August 1st, 2015: Bill Thompson Injured, Out for Year
The Rough Riders received bad news this morning. Bill Thompson will miss 10 months due to a ruptured bicep tendon. In the Frisco-Corpus Christi game he sustained the injury while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Thompson sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery."

To this point in the season he has had 2 saves. Thompson has made 41 relief appearances, tossed 68 innings and struck out 39 with a record of 5 wins and 2 losses.
Wednesday, July 15th, 2015: Walters Hits in 25 Straight Games
The red-hot hitting Ned Walters is riding high with a 25-consecutive-game hitting streak and is drawing a lot of attention at the ballpark and in the press. The 24-year-old Tulsa left fielder continued the streak today at Drillers Stadium with 1 hit in 4 at-bats as the Drillers got the best of the Frisco Rough Riders 10-0.

"It's great," one of his teammates said. "To be able to hit behind him and watch him, it's been fun. It's been fun and exciting to watch. Not only fans in Tulsa, but baseball fans everywhere appreciate what is going on right now, and it has everyone on the edge of their seats wondering what he is going to do."
N. Walters walked in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.

In 2015 Walters is batting .313 with 8 home runs and 47 RBIs.
