| Breaking News |  | Sunday, September 13th, 2015: Myrtle Beach Defeats Potomac It was a clash of the two best teams in the Carolina League -- the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and the Potomac Nationals -- and when the dust cleared on the diamond -- the Pelicans were the 2015 Round 1 champions.
It all came to an end today at Coastal Federal Field, when Myrtle Beach clinched the title with a 12-8 victory and won the series 3-1. It is the 1st time it has happened in club history.
During the Southern Division regular season Myrtle Beach put up a 78-62 record and finished second. |  | Friday, July 31st, 2015: McFarlen Fires Shutout in Lynchburg Win Cliff McFarlen of the Lynchburg Hillcats was in command from start to finish in his 4-0 shutout win over the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. He struck out 7, walked 1 and allowed 6 hits.
"I felt strong the entire game," McFarlen said. "I felt like I had my good stuff. It was just one of those games when everything was working."
In the current season in 22 starts, Cliff McFarlen has a record of 11-4 with 121 strikeouts in 146.2 innings and a 2.95 ERA. |  | Friday, July 17th, 2015: Pelicans Sullivan Tosses Masterpiece The Pelicans whipped the Dash in a 3-0 whitewash today at Coastal Federal Field. It was a masterful outing for Jason Sullivan, who shut out Winston-Salem on 3 hits.
