| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, September 9th, 2015: Kinney and Castro Fight, Suspended 9 Games "I don't think I did anything wrong. I think my actions were justified."
Those were the words of Quad Cities's Matt Kinney after a game between the River Bandits and TinCaps, which featured a benches-clearing fight. The league did not agree, however, both Kinney and the TinCaps Luis Castro will be suspended 9 games because of their actions.
This year Kinney has 6 home runs and a .371 batting average.
So far in 2015 Castro has compiled a 12-8 record with a 3.23 ERA. |  | Sunday, August 16th, 2015: Cardoza Guns Down TinCaps Beloit's Ismael Cardoza used his full arsenal today to shoot down Fort Wayne 9-0. All day long, he exhibited fine command of all his pitches, giving up 4 walks and striking out 4. Cardoza allowed the Fort Wayne 4 hits in the victory.
So far this year Cardoza has compiled a 13-3 record with a 2.61 ERA. |  | Sunday, August 9th, 2015: Red-Hot Ávila Scorches Whitecaps "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Fort Wayne first baseman Miguel Ávila said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-6 day against the West Michigan Whitecaps at Fort Wayne Memorial Stadium. "I got some good counts and used the whole field."
The TinCaps had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 14-3.
M. Ávila struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
