Behind the strong pitching of Kevin Campbell, Spokane shut out Boise 7-0. Campbell surrendered only 5 hits in recording the complete-game victory. He registered 11 strikeouts and no walks.
This year Campbell has no relief appearances with no saves, 10-0 season record and a 1.84 ERA. He has hurled 112.2 innings, given up 68 hits, struck out 160 and walked 14. Opposing clubs have batted .171 against the Spokane reliever.

Joe Conner was dynamite today and just blew Boise away in the 5-0 victory. The Everett Aqua Sox starter had everything working as he hurled a 6-hit shutout over the Hawks, recording 4 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"He was pure nasty out there today. I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing," said the Boise skipper during his postgame press conference.
This season Conner has gone 4-5 with an ERA of 4.25, posting 36 strikeouts in 78.1 innings.

Boise pitcher Jeff Reese blanked the Eugene Emeralds 7-0, tossing a 3-hitter while issuing 2 walks and collecting 6 strikeouts.
After his sharp shutout performance, he said that he gives a lot of the credit to his batterymate. "Me and him are just locked in out there. He's so great at having a feel for hitters. I couldn't do what I'm doing without him."
So far this season, Reese has logged a 3-6 record with a 4.62 ERA. He has started 10 games, hurled 62.1 innings and registered 70 strikeouts and 22 walks.
