But Andrew Fie did just that today for the Diamondbacks and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win.
"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 26-year-old third baseman said after his record-setting performance.
A. Fie singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off J. Vermilyea in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
Fie is presently batting .299 with 21 home runs, 107 runs scored and 101 RBIs.
