| Breaking News | | Tuesday, October 6th, 2015: 2015 AL Batting Crown Goes to Dunn When it came to hitting in the American League this season, none did it better than Gene Dunn of the Chicago (A) White Sox. He surpassed all his peers with a .363 average to take the 2015 batting crown. The 22-year-old first baseman had 220 hits, including 30 doubles, 14 triples and 13 home runs. Dunn participated in 161 games and also chipped in 88 RBIs and scored 127 times. | | Thursday, September 24th, 2015: White Sox Lose Tuttle for Season The season is apparently over for Rick Tuttle. The Chicago (A) White Sox medical staff informed the club that the left fielder will be out at least 8 months with a dislocated shoulder. Tuttle was hurt in the game against Tampa Bay while running the bases. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.
This year Tuttle has 9 home runs and a .283 batting average. | | Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015: Franklin's 30-Game Hit Streak Ends Late in the game Twins third baseman Trent Franklin stepped into the batter box with his 30-game hitting streak on the line. Up to then he was without a hit. Sadly it just wasn't to be -- Franklin did not get a hit -- and his streak was finally over. The White Sox had stopped him, not allowing him a hit in 4 at-bats. However, Minnesota won the game 9-6.
"Winning the game took some of the disappointment out of it," Franklin told reporters in the clubhouse. "Looking back on it, it was a great experience. Not too many players can say they had a hit in 30 straight games. It's something I will always remember."
Franklin is hitting .345 in 2015 with 8 home runs, 67 RBIs and 53 runs scored. He has 119 hits in 345 at-bats and played in 84 games. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | P Kyle Hausc | torn bicep muscle | 7-8 weeks | Not on DL | | LF Rick Tuttle | dislocated shoulder | 6-7 months | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 73-89, .451 PCT | | Position in Division | 4th, 26.0 GB | | Record at home | 34-47, .420 PCT | | Record on the road | 39-42, .481 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 7-12, .368 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 16-21, .432 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 24-37, .393 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 49-52, .485 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 2-8, .200 PCT | | Record in April | 8-13, .381 PCT | | Record in May | 12-16, .429 PCT | | Record in June | 17-10, .630 PCT | | Record in July | 9-16, .360 PCT | | Record in August | 11-17, .393 PCT | | Record in September | 14-15, .483 PCT | | Record in October | 2-2, .500 PCT |
