| Breaking News |  | Saturday, May 3rd, 2014: White Sox Chill Jones's Hot Streak Keltavious Jones of the Oakland Athletics came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats. That put a quick end to his 21-game hitting streak. To make matters even worse, Oakland dropped the game to the Chicago (A) White Sox 6-2.
In a post-game comment Jones told the press, "It was not a good day today. We lost the game and the streak is over."
In 2014 Jones has put up a .361 batting average with 35 hits, 3 home runs and 18 RBIs. |  | Saturday, April 12th, 2014: Hit Streak Over, Indians Stop Sweeney The Cleveland Indians clamped down on Ryan Sweeney and put a stop to his hit streak at 22 straight games. He went without a hit, but it didn't keep the White Sox from winning the game. Chicago (A) downed the Indians 3-1.
