Thursday, September 17th, 2015: Los Angeles (A) Left Fielder Hurt
After the end of today's game between Los Angeles (A) and Texas, Marvin Pethick skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after running the bases, the Angels had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The left fielder will miss at least 2 weeks with a fractured foot.

This season Pethick has banged out 128 hits in 455 at-bats for a .281 average with 15 home runs. He is getting on base at a .315 pace and his totals also include 69 RBIs and 64 runs scored.
Tuesday, September 15th, 2015: Reynolds Hits for the Cycle
You might say Carl Reynolds wore out his welcome with the Los Angeles (A) Angels. The shortstop gave them fits in today's 8-0 Cleveland victory by hitting for the cycle. "To hit for the cycle" is one of the rarest of feats in a baseball game. This occurs when a player hits a single, double, triple and homerun in the same game, getting every type of hit possible. Reynolds ended the day with 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 runs batted in and 4 runs scored.

Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, he said, "After the first three hits, I thought to myself, This could be the game I hit for the cycle. And I got lucky and did it."

C. Reynolds singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off M. O'Quinn in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and tripled in the 8th.

This season Reynolds is batting .349 with 13 home runs. He has scored 67 runs and driven in 44.
Tuesday, September 15th, 2015: Willis Pitches Cleveland to Shutout Victory
Fans at Jacobs Field witnessed the Indians blank the Angels behind a superb effort by Dontrelle Willis. The Cleveland pitcher allowed 2 hits in recording the shutout.

This season Willis has fanned 143 in 202.1 innings and collected a 16-4 record with a 3.02 ERA.
