| Breaking News |  | Friday, October 2nd, 2015: Oakland's Ryan Will Miss Season
B.J. Ryan will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and stated the Oakland closer could miss the remainder of the year. Ryan was injured while throwing a pitch in the Athletics-Rangers clash at McAfee Coliseum recently. Doctors said he has a damaged meniscus and would be out a minimum of 7 weeks.
In 2015 Ryan has totaled 65 relief appearances, worked 70 innings, struck out 71 and issued 32 walks. He has 46 saves and fashioned a 2.44 ERA and a 4-6 won-lost mark.

 | Monday, August 3rd, 2015: League Punishes Pair for Fighting
Oakland and Texas team officials have been notified by the league office that the Athletics Darrel Lambright and the Rangers Jack Norman will be suspended 8 games each for their altercation in yesterday's game at McAfee Coliseum. They were the two main combatants in the bench-clearing brawl.
Thus far this year Lambright is hitting .245 with 8 home runs, 41 RBIs and 49 runs scored.
This year Norman has notched 2 saves. He has 62 strikeouts and 34 walks in 71.2 innings while registering a 3.52 ERA and a 2-4 won-lost record.

 | Saturday, August 1st, 2015: AL Selects Rookie Star of the Month
Chris McIntire's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Oakland right fielder has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month.
In July he was voted the Rookie of the Month Award.
During the month he hit .364 with 12 doubles, 2 triples and 5 home runs. McIntire also scored 18 times and drove in 19 runs.
McIntire is hitting .321 in 2015 with 82 RBIs and 27 home runs.
