Thursday, October 1st, 2015: Pirates Jimenez Named NL's Best Pitcher
Luis Jimenez hasn't been around the big leagues long enough to know that youngsters shouldn't be winning National League Pitcher of the Month. But when you put up numbers like his, you're going to get some notice.

In September the Pittsburgh starter earned a 6-0 mark in 9 starts. He threw 52.2 innings, struck out 66 and compiled a solid 1.37 ERA.

This year Jimenez has made 36 starts, thrown 208 innings, fanned 216 batters and walked 57. His won-lost record is 17-6 with a 3.07 ERA.
Tuesday, September 8th, 2015: Super Swinger -- Walker Slams 5 Hits
Today at PNC Park, Neil Walker led the Pirates to a 19-1 triumph over the San Francisco Giants. He colleced 5 hits in 6 at-bats to spark his club in the victory.

N. Walker singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off R. Wells in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 7th.

This season Walker is batting .310 with 154 hits, 19 home runs, 86 RBIs, .385 OBP and has scored 84 runs.
Tuesday, September 1st, 2015: Pirates Chill MacIntyre's Hot Streak
Derek MacIntyre's 22-game hitting streak has now come and gone. It was snapped today in the Rockies 3-0 setback to the Pirates. MacIntyre went without a hit in 4 trips to the plate. Talking to BNN after the game he was visibly upset. But the streak had little to do with it.

"I'm disappointed we lost, I'm not one bit disappointed that the streak ended," MacIntyre said. "The hitting streak was just one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep tonight."

This season MacIntyre is batting .302 with 16 home runs. He has scored 44 runs and driven in 88.
