Monday, September 7th, 2015: Asdrubal Cabrera Injured, Out for Year
The season is ending on a bad note for Asdrubal Cabrera, shortstop for the Seattle Mariners. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Cabrera was hurt against the Cleveland Indians while running the bases. He suffered a ruptured achilles tendon and will be out for at least 8 months.

Currently Cabrera is batting .254 with 2 home runs and 20 RBIs.
Sunday, September 6th, 2015: Blue Jays Blank Seattle, Cheng Winner
Before the game Chi-Hung Cheng liked his chances and his instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing the Blue Jays pitcher whitewashed the Seattle Mariners 9-0.

Cheng said in the clubhouse afterward, "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day. My control was awesome. I could throw my curveball even when I was behind in the count."

The Toronto starter held Seattle scoreless, giving up 5 hits while registering 6 strikeouts and issuing 3 walks.

"We didn't have very many good at-bats," the Mariners manager said in his postgame interview.

"When that happens, you usually lose."

In 2015 Cheng has a 7-14 record with a 5.58 ERA.
Tuesday, September 1st, 2015: AL Selects Rookie Star of the Month

During the month he hit .386 with 9 doubles, no triples and 3 home runs. Prado also scored 17 times and drove in 21 runs.

In this current campaign Prado is hitting at a .287 clip with 6 home runs and 58 RBIs.
