Friday, September 25th, 2015: Players Suspended in Red Sox-Blue Jays Donnybrook
There were a few hotheads at the Boston-Toronto game at Fenway Park II yesterday, but the cooler heads prevailed and kept fisticuffs to a minimum. It all started when Eddie Hickman of the Red Sox and Thomas Vessella of the Blue Jays apparently exchanged some verbal unpleasantries and rushed at one another and began wrestling on the ground. Both benches emptied, but didn't get involved other than a little shoving. Order was quickly restored, the two instigators were ejected by the umpires and the game continued.

The league office took quick action and today announced that both players would be suspended 4 games for inappropriate on-field behavior.

Hickman is batting .192 this year with 17 home runs, 57 RBIs and 73 runs scored. He has 98 hits in 511 at-bats.

This year Vessella has a 11-9 record with a 4.24 ERA.
Sunday, September 6th, 2015: Blue Jays Blank Seattle, Cheng Winner
Before the game Chi-Hung Cheng liked his chances and his instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing the Blue Jays pitcher whitewashed the Seattle Mariners 9-0.

Cheng said in the clubhouse afterward, "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day. My control was awesome. I could throw my curveball even when I was behind in the count."

The Toronto starter held Seattle scoreless, giving up 5 hits while registering 6 strikeouts and issuing 3 walks.

"We didn't have very many good at-bats," the Mariners manager said in his postgame interview.

"When that happens, you usually lose."

In 2015 Cheng has a 7-14 record with a 5.58 ERA.
Tuesday, August 4th, 2015: Season May Be Over for Blue Jays Hilley
After the end of today's game between Toronto and Cleveland, Jeff Hilley skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch, the Blue Jays had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The starting pitcher will miss at least 7 months with a herniated disc.

His record this season is 3-3 in 1 starts and Hilley has a 4.40 ERA.
