| Breaking News | | Tuesday, September 22nd, 2015: 9-Game Suspensions for Johnson-Brown Fight It was quite a row yesterday at R.F.K. Stadium. The Nationals Deryck Johnson and the Marlins Ken Brown backed up their angry words with a few shoves and a few swings. Then both dugouts raced onto the field and got involved in the fracas. When it was over, only Johnson and Brown were ejected.
As expected they were informed by the league office that they would each have to serve 9-game suspensions for their inappropriate actions.
This season Johnson is batting .218 with 124 hits, 27 home runs, 92 RBIs, .295 OBP and has scored 64 runs.
So far in 2015 Brown has compiled a 8-5 record with a 4.92 ERA. | | Friday, September 18th, 2015: Wright Wallops #300 David Wright hit a historic home run today -- career blast number 300. "I am happy to be in such elite company. It has been quite a ride so far," Wright said after the game.
The Mets third baseman went 1 for 4 with 1 home run and 2 runs batted in as the New York (N) Mets won 5-3 over the Washington Nationals.
His numbers show Wright is carrying a .296 lifetime batting average with 300 home runs and 1201 RBIs. | | Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015: Nationals Detwiler Silences Milwaukee Everything clicked on the hill today for Ross Detwiler of the Washington Nationals as he hurled his club to a 2-0 shutout win over the Milwaukee Brewers, limiting them to 1 hit while recording 5 strikeouts and yielding no walks. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches.
"We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Brewers manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him."
Checking out his stats for the year, Detwiler has racked up 9 wins and 14 losses in 37 starts, 4.59 ERA and struck out 144 batters in 233.1 innings. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 60-102, .370 PCT | | Position in Division | 4th, 50.0 GB | | Record at home | 33-48, .407 PCT | | Record on the road | 27-54, .333 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 8-13, .381 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 20-32, .385 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 20-33, .377 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 40-69, .367 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 2-8, .200 PCT | | Record in April | 5-16, .238 PCT | | Record in May | 16-13, .552 PCT | | Record in June | 10-16, .385 PCT | | Record in July | 11-15, .423 PCT | | Record in August | 10-18, .357 PCT | | Record in September | 7-21, .250 PCT | | Record in October | 1-3, .250 PCT |
