| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, August 26th, 2015: Dyer Takes Charge, Blanks Durham The Knights whipped the Bulls in a 8-0 whitewash today at Knights Stadium. It was a masterful outing for Ken Dyer, who shut out Durham on 3 hits.
Dyer has posted a 14-6 record in 2015 with a 2.47 ERA. Teams are hitting .222 against him and he has rung up 252 strikeouts in 207.2 innings. |  | Friday, August 21st, 2015: Pruitt Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Durham Charlotte catcher Chris Pruitt experienced something against the Durham Bulls he hadn't experienced in his last 29 games: a hitless game. The Bulls pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Knights to a 2-0 victory at Knights Stadium.
"Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 29-game hitting streak. Now you sportswriters will have to find someone else to bother for stories," Pruitt kiddingly told them after the game.
In 108 games this season Pruitt is batting .333 with 139 hits and 11 home runs. He has scored 59 runs and driven in 61. |  | Monday, August 17th, 2015: Pettway Blasts 3 into Bleachers Brian Pettway of Charlotte was on fire with three home runs in the 14-5 win over Toledo at Knights Stadium.
"The first two I got all of them and it was no doubt they were gone. The last one I got lucky. It seemed like the wind helped it a little. Old Mother Nature helped me get into the record books."
For the game Pettway was 3 for 6 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
B. Pettway hit a solo-shot off M. Montoya in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off M. Montoya in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off J. Alonso in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
